A rod-shaped unit (12) is provided with an axis (14) and at its end a connecting unit (16). A second connecting unit (18) is provided at its opposite end. Both crossbar units (10) are connected to scaffolding uprights (30,38) at their respective sides. The second connecting unit of the first crossbar unit is so formed that in the end area it is connectable to the rod-profile unit (12) of the second crossbar device. At least in one area of the first crossbar device a collar profile component (20.1) is connected to the rod-shaped profile unit (12), at the free end of which the first and second connecting units (16,18) are available. The first or second connecting unit is connectable to the scaffolding upright with a spacing to the longitudinal axis of the rod profile unit.
