A reflection liquid crystal display comprises a color filter (29) having a transparent or opaque substrate (21), a light-reflecting layer (22) formed thereon, a transparent electrode (23) formed on the light-reflecting layer (22), and a dye layer (24) containing conductive particles, and a substrate (27) on which a transparent electrode (26) is provided and which is opposed to the color filter (29), with a liquid crystal layer (25) disposed therebetween. The color filter has an excellent viewing angle, is free from color shift (color mixture), and achieves bright display in a bright environment.
