Leaf of doors, windows etc. is locked in place with a locking bar which is mounted in a groove in the leaf. A lever locks or unlocks the bar by action on a linkage (1a,1b). The locking bar device (10a,11a) is divided in two parts at least on one side of the linkage. One locking section (22a,22b;24a,24b) is above and a force transmission section (10a,10b) is positioned below a cover rail (20) between them. Preferably the arrangement is functionally similar on both sides of the linkage, i.e. a two-sided bolt is provided. The force transmission section may have a coupling (11a,11b) through the cover rail at its end. |
