PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a line thickness increase coefficient while a temperature characteristics is improved, related to a laser diode provided with an optical resonator comprising a diffraction lattice. SOLUTION: The active layer of a laser diode is formed with the self- organization quantum dot. The pitch of the diffraction lattice is set so that a black wavelength is accommodated within a prescribed energy width which is determined by the gain spectrum of the active layer and a wanted line thickness increase coefficient.
