In many taks using a microscope, it is desirable to traverse the instrument easily across the working surface without intruding on the said surface and without the need for mechanical adjustment each time the instrument is moved. This has been achieved by means of a device consisting of a cross slide (1) attached to the rear edge of the work bench at a suitable height, and supporting carrying three interconnected and interacting slides (2, 3 and 4) at right-angles, the lowermost slide (4) being provided with a clamping device (5) for the microscope. |
