PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin speaker for use in various sound apparatus, especially a thin elongated speaker being fixed to the opposite sides of a television receiver. SOLUTION: A resin damper 17 comprises an inner circumferential ring part 17c being boded to a voice coil 16, an outer circumferential ring part 17d being boded to a frame 15, and a bridge part 17b disposed to move up and down in the groove part 11c of a bottom plate 11 bridging them. Since the bridge part 17b of the resin damper 17 moves up and down in the groove part 11c of the bottom plate 11, the speaker can be made thin by placing the vertical moving part of the resin damper 17 in a magnetic circuit section B.
