PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic endoscope which makes a bending section exactly inflectional upward in a lateral direction and ensures smooth insertion and guidance without stress when an upward bending operation is carried out. SOLUTION: Each flexible substrate 40 is divided to a plurality in parallel within the bending section 2 and the divided substrates are arranged in the positions symmetrical to the center line across a central line UD of vertical bending.
