PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a seat sliding device with a built-in lock mechanism, which can be manufactured at low cost and lightweight. SOLUTION: This seat sliding device has an upper rail 40 fixed on a seat and furnished with a first cutout 41, a lower rail 30 supported on the upper rail free to slide, fixed on a vehicle floor and furnished with a second cutout 35, a locking member 5 stored in a cross-section of the upper rail, extending along the axial direction of the upper rail and having an engagement part 54 to be engaged with the upper rail and a lock click part 52 formed free to be fitted in the first cutout and the second cutout and an operation lever 6 mounted on the locking member, and a hole 57 through which the operation lever is inserted is provided on the locking member on the opposite side of the lock click part against the engagement part.
