The device comprises the heating means such as a resistive layer (18) deposited on a support such as a transparent plate (17) in contact or near to the liquid-crystal substrate (12) and/or neon lamps (14,15) of the screen (10). The heating device is inserted between the backlight case (13) and the liquid-crystal substrate (12), which requires a re-assembly of the screen, or placed in front of the liquid-crystal substrate. The screen (10) also comprises a watertight casing (11) and a protection plate (16) which is transparent. The heating device is very efficient, that is the thermal losses are very low, because the heating device is of laminar type and surrounded by thermally insulating structures including the backlight case (13), an air layer (19), the liquid-crystal substrate (12) and the protection plate (16). The heating device is implemented either by use of a resistive wire of small diameter, e.g. a few hundredths of a millimetre, laid out on the plate (17) in the form of winding oxidee (ITO) pulverized onto the plate. The plate (17) is made of glalss or polycarbonate. The implementation in another embodiment includes the deposition of an emissive paint onto at least one surfacec area in contact with or in the proximity of the heating device.
