Date Nov. 23, 1995The present invention is an isolated DNA molecule comprising a promoter of the human p75 TNF-R gene having a sequence consisting of a 5' upstream promoter sequence contained within an approximately 2.0 kbp NcoI fragment of a genomic clone of human p75 TNF-R, or an intron promoter sequence located in the first intron between the first and second exons and contained within an approximately 1.9 kbp SmaI fragment of a genomic clone of human p75 TNF-R. A composition comprising the DNA molecule and a carrier is also described.
