PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photo-semiconductor electrode excellent in a photoelectric transfer efficiency and stability and inexpensively and easily manufacturable. SOLUTION: This photo-semiconductor conductor electrode has a conductive base substance and a photoelectric transfer layer provided on the base substance, and is used in a condition in which it is brought into contact with electrolyte together with an opposite electrode, and the photoelectric transfer layer has a structure having organic pigment. A photocell is used integrally with the photo-semiconductor electrode and the opposite electrode, and is placed in a condition in which it is brought into contact with the electrolyte. Pigment in a phthalocyanine group such as titanilphthalocyanine, chlorogaliumphthalocyanine, hydroxygaliumphthalocyanine or pigment in a naphthalocyanine group is preferably used for the organic pigment. |
