<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect no feed abnormality when a partition sheet is fed by providing a means which identifies whether a fed sheet is the partition sheet or not and cancels a feed abnormality judgment when it identifies the fed sheet as the partition sheet after a feed abnormality judging means judges a feed abnormality. SOLUTION: When a partition sheet 3 is fed, it is judged as a duplicated feed by a process section 13 because the document thickness signal detected by a document thickness detection section 12 is larger than the reference signal. When the partition sheet 3 is identified based on the control information of the partition sheet 3 read by a document readout section 400, the judgment of the duplicated feed is canceled by the process section 13, and the readout of the documents succeeding the partition sheet 3 is continued based on the control information written on the partition sheet 3. This control program is stored in a memory 14 in advance and is implemented by the process section 13. When the partition sheet 3 having a different thickness is inserted between the documents of the same kind with the same thickness, the detection of a duplicated feed can be prevented.</p> |
