PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detecting system which is suitable for monitoring an O-157 infectious disease at bed site, by immobilizing an anti-Verotoxin antibody onto a metal film which is formed on a transparent substrate. SOLUTION: In a measuring chip, a metal film 2 is formed on a transparent substrate 1, and an anti-Verotoxin antibody 4 is immobilized on the surface of an organic silicon film 3 on the metal film 2. As the transparent substrate 1, a material such as glass, polyethylene terephthalate or the like which is transparent to laser light is used, and a material which is not anisotropic to polarized light and whose working property is excellent in desirable, As the metal film 2, gold, silver, copper and the like are used singly or after they are combined. The organic silicon film 3 is formed as a monomolecular film in which silicon atoms are not overlapped up and down. As a result, the distance between an object to be measured, which interacts with a physiologically active substance and an incident-light reflecting face can be made short, and the good sensitivity of a sensor is obtained. As the anti-Verotoxin antibody 4, an antibody which can detect both Verotoxin VT1 and Verotoxin VT2 is preferable. Normally, the FC fragment of the anti-Verotoxin antibody 4 is immobilized only on the surface of the organic silicon film 3 so as to be formed in the state of a monomolecular layer.
