PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fast process an arithmetic operation between the relative data adjacent to each other and also process the enlargement/reduction of the processing data in a simple circuit constitution by performing the reading and writing operations of the relative data adjacent to each other when these data are consecutively accessed. SOLUTION: In a color image processor which transforms U and V data intoρandθdata, two relative data are stored in an image memory #0 (301) in a state that four sets of those data are adjacent to each other like the UV color information U1, V1 (340), U2, V2 (341) which are taken from the 4:2:2 YUV color images. In such a processor, the reading and writing addresses are controlled when the adjacent data stored in the memory #0 (301) are consecutively accessed. The image enlargement/reduction processing is also performed when the U and V component data are read and subjected to the arithmetic operations of transformation. The arithmetic result is written into an image memory which is different from an original memory.
