<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with the movement of a stapler to attain the simplification of a device and the higher-speed stapling by fixing sheet binding means to different specific positions in sheet lateral direction, respectively, and performing the change of the binding position by changing the sheet alignment position by a sheet width fitting guide. SOLUTION: A finisher A1 is provided with an intermediate tray 6 capable of housing a plurality of sheets, a pair of cursors 57 capable of reciprocating in the sheet lateral direction right-angled to the sheet carrying direction, and staplers 8 for binding the sheets aligned in the sheet lateral direction. The finisher A1 is provided in the state where the staplers 8 are fixed in two different positions in the sheet lateral direction, and the change of binding position of the sheets is performed by changing the sheet alignment position by the cursors 57. Thus, 2-point stapling of the sheets housed in the intermediate tray and 1-point stapling of the angle parts can be performed without requiring the movement of the staplers 8, so that the device can be simplified, and the stapling can be performed at a higher speed.</p> |
