<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote maintenance system capable of reducing a data volume to be transmitted in order to update terminal side data in accordance with the updating of host side data and allowing the terminal to verify the contents of the updating data. SOLUTION: When data stored in a host side are changed, a host computer compares the unchanged contents of the data with the changed contents, extracts the difference information, generates a verification code related to the changed contents and distributes the change information consisting of the difference information and the verification code to a terminal. Then, the terminal receiving the change information updates the contents of the data stored in the terminal itself based on the changed information, generates a verificatstoin code from the contents of the data changed by the terminal itself based on the changed information and checks the generated code by the verification code transmitted form the host computer.</p> |
