The pressure difference DELTA p between the inlet and the outlet of a measuring nozzle of the capillary rheometer is controlled such that MFRon-line=MFRlab, where MFRon-line is the melt flow index value that is determined on line, and MFRlab the melt flow index value that is determined under standardized laboratory conditions.
