PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent rubbing of the surface a photoreceptor drum and the surface of a developing roller against each other when the photoreceptor drum is detached. SOLUTION: A developing roller 46 is held by the side plates 451 and 454 of a developing unit 45 so as to advance on a photoreceptor drum 41 and retract from it, and also is pressed in the direction of the photoreceptor drum 41 by compression springs 453 and 457. At the left end of the developing roller 46, a flange 462 having a tapered part 4622 and a large-diameter part 4623 is attached. When a shaft member 321 is pulled off a frame 320 and the photoreceptor drum 41 is detached by being slid leftward, the left flange 413 of the photoreceptor drum 41 is brought into contact with the tapering part 4622 and the large-diameter part 4623 in order. Consequently, the left side of the developing roller 46 moves backward against the pressing force of the compression spring 457 and moves apart from the photoreceptor drum 41, and the photoreceptor drum 41 can be pulled off upward (toward this side in illustration) without being in contact with the developer supply face of the developing roller 46. |
