PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide image forming element capable of obtaining a sharp image even in the case of omitting a fixing process. SOLUTION: This silver halide image forming element comprises a support and at least one image forming emulsion layer, formed by coating the support, containing radiation-sensitive silver halide grains and a dispersion medium and this element can form a sharp image with silver halide grains still remaining even after imagewise exposure and development. The above dispersion medium contains an organic vehicle and titanium dioxide particles having an average particle diameter of <0.1μm in an amount of at least 10 weight % of the dispersion medium.
