Date May 2, 1996The present invention is a novel device and method of shaping an end of a pipe. One end of a pipe is inserted into a shaped die in such a way that the outer surface of the pipe rests against the interior portion of the die. A piston is then inserted into the pipe in such a way that the outer surface of the piston rests against the interior surface of the pipe. The piston is then forcibly driven into the die against the pipe as to forcibly shape the pipe to a predetermined configuration. The present invention also discloses numerous embodiments to shape a pipe.
