PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate actions of standing up and sitting down while maintaining the balance of the body by distributing the weight of the body to hands, arms and legs by an aid for standing up and sitting down without necessitating to fix the aid on a wall surface like a handrail to help actions of standing up and sitting down on a chair for a western-style stool and to enable a user to maintain the balance of the upper half of the body in a sitting state. SOLUTION: In the upper part 6 of a bottom plate 1 a pair of cylindrical or polygonal supports 2 adjusted to a height easy to support a user in a state of standing and seating are mounted and fixed. The supports 2 are fixed on the upper part 6 of the bottom plate by fastening bolts from the underside of the bottom plate 1 through the upper part 6 of the bottom plate to the contact face of each support 2 and the upper part 6 of the bottom plate. On the top part of each support 2, a supporting part 3 of a size capable of supporting by hand, gripping by hand, and further supporting a forearm is provided. A bottom plate slope part 4 for preventing tripping in order to maintain safety wen moving feet is provided on one side of the bottom plate 1, and a U-shaped cut-out is made from the opposing rearmost part 7 of the bottom plate toward the bottom plate slope part 4 to provide a toilet stool contact part 8 for maintaining stability in using the aid together with the stool. |
