PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure easiness in assembling work while a motor and a control rod are coupled together certainly in the rotating direction. SOLUTION: A coupling member 5 to couple the output shaft of a motor with a pair of parallel surfaces formed at the end of a control rod of a shock absorber consists of a cylindrical member 50 which has flexibility and is equipped with a pair of fitting members 51 which are coupled with the output shaft through a pin 6 supported penetratively by the coupling member 5 in the direction perpendicular to the axis of the output shaft on the side with the base end 5b of the coupling member 5 and formed in such a way as approaching each other as going apart from the tip 5a of the coupling member 5 toward the pin 6. The two fitting members 51 hold pinchedly a pair of the parallel surfaces furnished at the end of the control rod.
