PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject active oxygen deletion ability deterioration inhibitor that can markedly inhibit the deterioration of the ability to delete active oxygen originating from plants by using trehalose as an active ingredient and is useful for maintenance and increase of health. SOLUTION: This inhibitory agent comprises trehalose as an active ingredient, preferably in an amount of about >=20 w/w % calculated as the trehalose anhydride, additional saccharicies other than trehalose, pullulan and/or cyclodextrin. In a preferred embodiment, the substance having the active oxygen deletion activity, originating from plants is combined with trehalose or the objective inhibitory agent is admixed in an aqueous medium, for example, trehalose is homogeneously mixed and dissolved in the edible plant substance and/or an antioxidant plant substance in an aqueous medium as long as possible. |
