<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orthopaedic surgery perforator which is easy to use. SOLUTION: An orthopaedic surgery perforator 10 includes an almost cylindrical housing 12 having a first end 14 and an opposite second end 16, a slender shaft 18 extending from the first end 14, and a removable and replaceable cutting disc 54 located at the second end 16. The housing 12 has a slot 24 formed in the second end 16 while crossing the major axis of the perforator. The slot 24 divides the second end 16 into two separate wall members 28, 30 having a curved outer surface 38 and an opposite separate inner surface 32. The cutting disc 54 has at least one cutting blade and is shaped to be mounted on the wall members 28, 30. A removable and replaceable drill bit 44 can be provided and extends from a bore through a hole in the cutting disc 54.</p> |
