<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission switching arrangement capable of transmitting large torque by reducing its size and of stabilizing a switching process so as to generate almost no noise. SOLUTION: Revolvable pinions 26, 28 are provided with sleeves 18 made of a piezoelectric material. A voltage can be selectively applied to one of the sleeves 18, each of which has a predetermined size so that the pinions 26, 28 revolve around a spindle 10 smoothly according to the voltage applied, or so that they are coupled thereto by friction.</p> |
