PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize a backed product as aggregates for asphalt by kneading sewage sludge incineration ash with a specified percentage of water added, then compressing the kneaded product under a specific face pressure into moldings of an appropriate shape, and baking the moldings at a specific baking temperature to crush and classify the baked moldings to the specific grain size. SOLUTION: 10-20 wt.% water is added to a sewage sludge incineration ash generated by incinerating sewage sludge at a publicly known incineration furnace, and the mixture is kneaded with a kneader. Further, this kneaded product is compressed under 0.3t/cm<2> or more face pressure by a molding press into moldings of an appropriate shape. These moldings have high shape retaining strength because of a calcium content, which becomes a binder, of incineration ash and at the same time, the added water which becomes a binder. Thus this shape retaining strength makes the handling of the moldings upto baking easier. In addition, the moldings are baked at 1,000 deg.C or higher baking temperature into baked products, which are crushed into 0.5-20 mm grain size to be classified. Consequently, aggregates for asphalt satisfactory sufficiently satisfied can be obtained.
|
