PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for supporting a lower riser pipe assembly of a jet pump in a reactor pressure vessel(RPV) of a nuclear reactor. SOLUTION: A clamp device 50 easily applies compression force to an elbow 52. The clamp device 50 includes a lower elbow clamp 66, a riser pipe clamp 68 and a bridge 69. The lower elbow clamp 66 is arranged near the boundary between the elbow 52 of a jet pump assembly 34 and a heat sleeve 36. The riser pipe clamp 68 is fixed to the riser pipe 38 near the boundary 60 between the riser pipe 38 of the jet pump assembly 34 and the elbow 52. The bridge 69 firmly connects the lower elbow clamp 66 with the riser pipe clamp 68. Accordingly, when both clamps are fixed to the lower risen pipe assembly, compression clamping force is applied to a pipe and a welded part at parts of respective clamps 66, 68. |
