PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring a human hemoglobin utilizing an accurate human hemoglobin calibrator solution with high sensitivity by utilizing the stability of hemoglobin for suppressing a decrease in antigen properties due to an alteration in a solution of the hemoglobin. SOLUTION: Crosslinkedα-chains orβ-chains of a human hemoglobin by a specific crosslinking reagent are used as a hemoglobin measuring calibrator. The crosslinked hemoglobin does not dissociate to a sub-unit as compared with an uncrosslinked hemoglobin. An oxidizing speed of a heme is decelerated, the alteration speed brought about by an oxidation of the heme is decelerated, and a stable antigen-antibody reaction is continued for a long period. Accordingly, an accurate antigen-antibody reaction with high sensitivity is stably obtained.
