PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adapter for converting the terminal base of a digital service unit(DSU) or the like to a modular jack. SOLUTION: This adapter 1, which is used for a communication equipment provided with the terminal base with plural terminals, is provided with contactors 3 in contact with the respective terminals and a modular jack 4 for gathering the signals of the respective contactors 3. It is attached to a DSU by fitting U-shaped notches 5 of the contactors 3 to the screws of the respective terminals and tightening the screws. Thus, the terminal base composed of the plural terminals is converted into the single modular jack 4, and the output from the modular jack 4 is obtained easily. Since the adapter 1 in which the respective contactors 3 are integrated is mounted to the terminal base, erroneous connections caused in the case of performing connection for each terminal is prevented.
