PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an asphalt packaging body to be used for a waterproof construction for a roof or the like of a building, which does not require breaking and peeling of a paper bag for packaging, nor cutting of asphalt into scantling shape. SOLUTION: An asphalt which is used when a waterproof sheet is affixed to a base, is packaged by using a sheet of a material wherein the material has a melting point by which the material does not melt at a melting temperature when the asphalt is packaged, and also, has a thickness at a degree not being broken at the times of a storage and a transportation, and in addition, has a melting point by which the material melts together with the asphalt when the asphalt is re-molten by a melting furnace, and a result, a change is not applied to the physical properties of the asphalt. In this case, as the sheet for the packaging, a polyethylene based film comprising a copolymer of a low density polyethylene or ethylene and butene-1, is used. For the polyetheylene based film, one wherein the thickness is 50-80μm, the melting point is 100-130 deg.C, and also, the using amount is in a range not exceeding 0.5 wt.% based on the asphalt, is used. In addition, for the asphalt, type 3 and type 4 of asphalt for waterproof construction being specified in JIS K 2207, or a polymer modified asphalt compound are used.
