PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat storage burner system for rotary melting furnace in which melting cost can be reduced by recovering waste heat well thereby reducing the quantity of oxygen to be used. SOLUTION: The heat storage burner system comprises a rotary melting furnace 2 having a cast iron melting chamber 20, and a pair of heat storage burners 11, 12 ejecting flame into the melting chamber 20. First burner 11 is fed with combustion air A heated through a heat storage body 116 thereof while combustion exhaust gas E is discharged into second burner 12 through a heat storage body 126 thereof thus storing heat in the heat storage body 126. Switching is made between combustion air supply and combustion exhaust gas introduction upon elapsing a specified time so that the combusters 112, 122 of the first and second burners 11, 12 eject flame alternately.
