FIELD: mass-transfer apparatuses for performing the processes of rectification and absorption, applicable in food, chemical and petroleum industries. SUBSTANCE: in the mass-transfer apparatus comprising vertical housing 1, which is divided in height into separate sections 3 by plates 2, mixing chambers 8 connected to curvilinear separation trays 9, by-pass liquid phase channels 6, liquid and vapor phase inlet (11 and 12) and outlet (14 and 13) devices, plates are furnished with liquid chambers 5 connected to liquid phase channels 6 and having intermediate product outlet pipe connections 7, the mixing chambers are installed on the liquid chambers, and the separation trays are connected tangentially to the by-pass channels and form vapor channels with the housing walls; the upper plate has no liquid chamber and is furnished with nozzle 12 used for feeding source liquid to the mixing chamber of the upper section, and the lower plate - with nozzle 11 used for feeding source vapor to the lower section.
