The invention concerns a method for measuring the speed of an object, in particular a motor vehicle, and in storing the measured speed with an image of said object. Said method comprises the following steps: a) measuring the speed with a radar; b) photographing the object with a camera; c) storing the measured speed value and the photograph, and further, preferably, storing additional data such as the time and place where the measurement has been carried out. The invention aims at producing a method enabling a pre-processing by computer of recorded data and at improving the determination of the optimal moment for carrying out the measurement. Said aim is achieved by the following steps: d) digitising the photographs in a data processing electronic unit; e) common storage of the digital image data and the digitised value of the object speed, and, optionally, additional digitised data. The invention also concerns a device for acquiring in digitised form images and data according to said method. |
