PURPOSE:To impart durable vermin-proofing function to an acrylic fiber and obtain an acrylic fiber having durable repelling activity against hygienic vermin. CONSTITUTION:A solvent solution of an acrylonitrile polymer is spun into a coagulation bath and subjected to drawing and washing. The obtained fiber of the primary swollen state having a swelling degree of 50-500% is coated with a mixture of (A) an organic vermin-controlling agent, (B) an organic vermin-controlling agent included in dextrin oligomer having a polymerization degree of 1-3 and an average molecular weight of <=3,000 and (C) a reactive organosiloxane and the coated fiber is successively subjected to drying, crimping and heat-relaxation treatments. |
