FIELD: household equipment for removing dust and wastes. SUBSTANCE: cleaning apparatus has suction nozzle equipped with cleaning brush and coupled with handle connecting portion by variable length extension. Extension has first extension member with hollow passage, which is in communication with circular inlet opening of tubular extension through portion of inlet opening, and with stop to which first power supply wire is fixed. Pair of racks fixed in stop have curved front portion serving contact portion. Second extension member has pair of second racks and isolating covering. Connecting tube inserted into circular inlet opening has projections. Second racks are disposed in passages between projections for contacting with first sliding racks to provide electrical connection between third power supply wire inserted into front end and first and second racks for providing power supply to suction nozzle. Projection accommodating isolating covering of second extension member is tightly connected with both outer surfaces of projections. EFFECT: increased efficiency by variable length of connecting member regardless of distance between user and any selected portion adapted for cleaning. 4 cl, 7 dwg
