FIELD: electrical engineering, transformer manufacturing. SUBSTANCE: proposed transformer has closed magnetic circuit, primary and secondary windings, at least one control winding wound around the whole of magnetic circuit without formation of complete turns about individual bars. Transformation ratio can be controlled with supply of alternating voltage changed by value and/or phase to control winding. Power consumed by transformer from network can be controlled by disconnection of control winding from source of controlling alternating current.
