摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve manufacturing yield in a matrix display device having an united peripheral driving circuit for a reduction in material cost by, after a AMX-mode display section and the peripheral driving circuit are severally formed on different substrates, connecting and bonding them. CONSTITUTION:A driving circuit substrate 1 on a signal side is formed of a shift resister 2, a matrix switch 3 and a voltage transforming circuit 4. A driving circuit substrate 5 on a scanning side is provided with a scanning circuit 6. An active matrix(AMX) substrate 7 is a matrix circuit formed of TFT9. An opposed substrate 11 is provided opposite to the substrate 7, and a liquid crystal 9 is enclosed in the substrate 11 to form a liquid crystal cell. Conductive paste(anisotropic conductive paste) 13 is applied to the terminal parts of the AMX substrate 7, and the terminal parts of the AMX substrate 7 and of the driving circuit substrate 1 on the signal side are aligned and joined by thermocompression bonding. The above bonded part is then reinforced with a bonding agent(thermosetting resin) 14. The AMX substrate 7 and the driving circuit substrate 5 on the scanning side are also connected and bonded in a similar procedure.</p>
