This invention is applicable in the ceramics industry; it is a new method of firing ceramic articles. The purpose of the invention is expansion of the functional possibilities of firing, the improvement of finished product quality and the increased reliability of reduction (deoxidation). The essence of the invention is that the ceramic articles are made from a mixture of 90 - 99.5% clay and 0.5 - 10% timber waste, covered in a clay glaze made of clay slick, diluted with sodium metasilicate with ingredients active in a reductive (deoxidising) environment, reduction (deoxidation) taking place at a temperature from 180 degrees C to 450 degrees C, with spontaneous reduction (deoxidation) taking place, while firing in electric ceramic firing kilns. |
