FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying power of 50-60 Wt of high frequency electrosurgical apparatus having carrying frequency of 500 Hz in acting upon the mucous membrane with 0.5-2.0 s long pulses using removable active electrode. The method is applied for carrying out nasal turbinated bones diathermocoagulation treatment, inferior turbinated bones diathermodestruction treatment, and diathermodestruction treatment of posterior ends of the turbinated bones, diathermoconchotomy treatment of hypertrophied rhinitis, diathermopolypotomy treatment of nose and accessory nasal sinuses, diathermotomy treatment of nasal cavity. The device has electrode having engageable working part and body with dielectric coating bent at two points by 40-45 deg and parallel engagement part. The working part is produced as plate having rounded edges of 0.3-0.5 times body diameter thickness, 2-4 times body diameter length and 1.2-2 times body diameter width.
