METHOD FOR REDUCTION OF SEISMIC DANGER FROM ROCK MASS

FIELD: seismology. SUBSTANCE: this particularly relates to suppression of potential sources of small earthquakes. Method is directed at reducing level of energy enclosed in rock mass down to safety level by means of hydraulic fracturing of rock matter. For liquidation of source of potential small earthquake at depths not over 200-220 m, hydraulic fracturing is performed in interval after interval in overstressed rock matter in direction from bottom hole to well head in one bore-hole or in group of bore-holes drilled from ground surface. Aforesaid method can be used for reducing seismic risk at sites of anticipated construction activities or in existing populated areas. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 dwg
