PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide at low cost a semiconductor light-emitting device which has high quality photodetective device, semiconductor light modulator, and optical integrated circuit with these elements integrated. SOLUTION: A semiconductor device is formed on an insulating or a semiinsulating substrate 1, where a laminated structure composed of a semiconductor layer 4 having low affinity for electrons and a semiconductor layer 5 loaded with impurity and having high affinity for electrons is provided between an active device composed of laminated structures 6 to 11 and an electrode 25 which is close to a substrate 1. |
