The lance carrier is provided with a compression piston (15) acting on the sealing lining (13) and is able to be charged with a fluid under pressure in an inner chamber (16), as well as a bypass (17) connecting the chamber (16) of the lance carrier to the atmosphere and incorporates a security blocking piston (18). A lance carrier for the tubes of an oxygen lance (12) incorporates a securing jaw (3) and a pressure sleeve (4) displaceable by means of a regulation device above the securing pinch with which is associated a sealing socket (14), fitted with a sealing lining (13), which may be displaced in the longitudinal direction of the lance carrier.
