PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently irradiate a light beam having small spot size on a recording surface of an optical disk. SOLUTION: An optical connection layer 1 is provided on a light incident side for the recording surface 2 of an optical disk 20. The optical disk 20 is irradiated by luminous flux from a light source through an objective lens 4, a semispherical lens 5. The semispherical lens 5 is arranged at a position approaching the optical connection layer 1 of the optical disk 20 at an interval of a wavelength or below of light from the light source. The luminous flux converged by the objective lens 4, the semispherical lens 5 is connected to the optical connection layer 1 while nearly keeping the advance direction in the semispherical lens 5.
