PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control tracking of a slider head mounted with a solid immersion lens with high precision. SOLUTION: This optical recording device has a spindle motor 1 which drives and rotates a magnetooptic disk 2, a slider 11 which is placed on the recording surface 2a of the disk 2 and positioned floating over the recording surface by an air bearing, the solid immersion lens 12 and an objective 13 which are arranged at the slider closely to the recording surface, a head arm 4 which holds the slider at the tip part, a voice coil motor which moves the slider radially in the said floating state radially for scanning movement (tracking motion), and a light irradiating device which emits recording and reproducing light. Further, the optical path of the recording and reproducing light which is emitted by the light irradiating device and converged through the objective 13 and solid immersed lens 12 to reach the magnetooptic disk 2 is constituted by using at least a movable optical mirror 20. |
