The ultra-dense armoring material consists of length wise filaments (3) of a material with high mechanical properties embedded in a thermoplastic or thermosetting matrix (4) in the shape of a rectangular section flat strip (2). The upper and/or lower surface of the strip is reinforced by a very thin plastic film layer (5) reinforced with fibers in the form of a mat or a woven or non-woven layer.
