PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer electrolyte battery with flexibility, less generation of wrinkles even folded, less bulging of the battery due to storage, and high storage performance. SOLUTION: A polymer electrolyte battery has a sheet-like positive electrode 1 having a positive mix layer 1b on one side of metal foil, a sheet-like negative electrode 2 having a negative mix layer 2b on one side of metal foil, and a sheet-like polymer electrolyte layer 3, and is constituted by enveloping a unit cell formed by arranging the polymer electrolyte layer 3 between the positive mix layer 1b of the positive electrode 1 and the negative mix layer 2b of the negative electrode 2, or a unit cell laminate formed by stacking a plurality of the unit cells with an outer case 4, and the whole or a part of a portion forming a joining part of the exposed part of the metal foil on the back side of the electrode and the inner surface of the outer case 4 is bonded with a mixture of polymer and electrolyte solvent having the same quality as the polymer contained in the polymer electrolyte layer 2 and the electrolyte solvent contained in the electrolyte in the mix layer of the electrode. |
