<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the developing method using a dry nonmagnetic one- component toner by which not only the fixing property and durability of a toner are improved but also the toner can be electrified in a good state and electrification failure and the occurrence of fogging can be prevented. SOLUTION: In this developing method, a dry nonmagnetic one-component toner is used to form a layer of the dry nonmagnetic one-component toner on a developing sleeve 5 by the developing sleeve 5 and a blade 4 facing the developing sleeve 5. The dry nonmagnetic one-component toner has a binder component essentially comprising a polyester resin formed into high mol.wt. polymers by urethane extension. Either one of the developing sleeve 5 or the blade 4 consists of a metal and the other consists of a synthetic resin, natural rubber or a mixture thereof.</p> |
