<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector in which a stand-by state of fitting for one connector housing can be surely kept before male and female connector housings are fitted, and the both connector housings are surely prevented from being defectively fitted. SOLUTION: In a connector 10 in which one connector housing 60 is freely fitted with or detached from another connector housing 50 in a stand-by state of fitting in a cover 30 with a holder 20 and a cover 30 temporarily locked, temporarily locking means 26, 34 to keep the stand-by state of fitting for another connector housing 50 is provided on the holder 20 and on the cover 30, a release means 64 to release a temporarily locking state of the temporarily locking means 26, 34 when engagement of the both housings 50, 60 is completed, is provided in the housing 60, the temporarily locking means of the holder 20 is composed of a flexible arm 26 and the temporarily locking means of the cover 30 is composed of a U-shaped flexible locking piece 34 locked and uncoupled by a locking part 26 a of the flexible arm 26.</p> |
