PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device by which a developer carrier is continuously supplied with the sufficient quantity of developer and where image density fluctuation with time and development characteristic fluctuation at the time of replenishing toner are reduced. SOLUTION: This device is provided with the developer carrier 3, a developer supply member 4 also used for forming a thin layer rotatably arranged on an upstream side from a position where the developer carrier 3 and an image carrier 1 are opposed or brought into contact to the rotating direction of the developer carrier 3 so as to be opposed to the developer carrier 3 and the developer supply member 5 arranged on the upstream side from the developer supplying member 4 also used for forming a thin layer in the rotating direction of the developer carrier 3 so as to be brought into contact with the developer carrier 3. |
