A tank (1) is fitted with some means of cathodic protection equipped with a non-consumable anode (3) and electrical supply (5) connected to the anode (3) and the tank (1). The tank (1) is internally coated with a layer (2) of a graphite/binder composite consisting preferably of a binder doped with a graphite powder whose composition by mass is 5-20%. The binder is a food quality material, preferably polyurethane.
